Okay, sorry I thought I said in my original post: The drivers are from HP's website here: Software & Driver Downloads HP G62-355DX Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English) by the way I'm not certain of the laptop's full product name because the sticker was peeled off on the bottom and the HP program on my computer that's supposed to tell me crashes every time I open it. I used Automatic Product Detection to find out but it doesn't really give a conclusive answer... in any case I'm 99.99999% certain that my drivers are up-to-date and that they're the right drivers, because Windows says they are. Thanks, anything else you can think of would be much appreciated. UPDATE: So I tried using the HP Support Assistant (that's the HP program on my computer that supposed to tell me my model number) again and was mucking around in there when I came to 'Troubleshoot Network and Internet Connectivity' all it did was examine my network options (I think) but it discovered the wireless signals in the area and when I went to Internet connection tool in the taskbar I had the option to connect to networks. So SOLVED I guess. Thanks,
